Right to Object: You have a legal right to object at any time to:

  2. processing of your personal information which is based on our legitimate interests, unless there are compelling legitimate ground for our continued processing.

Acute Change is a professional services company that operates in the recruitment industry. Acute Change acts as the data controller of personal information obtained from its clients with a need for recruitment services, candidates who are interested in job postings and suppliers who are in a commercial agreement with Acute Change to provide access.

Collecting your information

Our aim is to provide our recruitment services to you and to facilitate the recruitment process. In order to fulfil our legal and business obligations we collect your Personal Data such as your name, address, company details, telephone numbers, email address and, as a candidate, information you supply to us on your CV. The provision of your Personal Data may be mandatory in order to process your requests and for us to provide a service to you.

Sharing your information

We want to provide as full a service as possible and support you in your business needs. We appreciate that candidates with specialist expertise have a strong preference for dealing with equally specialist recruiters. In turn, we are able to offer clients higher quality candidates. Your personal information will be shared within Acute Change which is a small professional services company with a model specialising in Executive Search, Recruitment, Transformation Projects and Advisory.  Your information will only be shared with the appropriate client or candidate after Acute Change have gained consent from all parties to proceed. Consent will be documented and recorded onto our database. To the extent that we are processing your personal information based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.  You can do this by contacting us via email [email protected]

How we use your data:

We will use your data in the following ways once we have consent from yourself to use it:

  • To enable a recruitment process, by matching your details to job opportunities.
  • To allow details of your skills and experience, to be shared with our clients whom we feel may be interested in engaging your services. Please note that your personal details will only be provided to our clients if you have given permission to us to do so.
  • To keep you informed of job opportunities and/or contract assignments which Acute Change believe may be of interest to you, via email and telephone.
  • To allow you to subscribe to our “Jobs by Email” service. This service will allow you to receive details of latest jobs via e-mail which are relevant to your sector and professional experience. Where you are sent details of a job via the “Jobs by Email” service, you will be able to unsubscribe from such updates at any time.   • To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us. As a result, your information will be accessible to and processed by our recruitment consultants, responsible management, human resources, accounting, audit, compliance, information technology, legal and other corporate staff and selected third party service providers and suppliers, only if they have a legitimate business need to do so;
  • To preserve our business relationship with you.
  • To keep you informed of the products and services (relevant to your sector and your professional interests.
  • To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us.
  • To notify you about changes to any Acute Change service.

Access to your Personal Information

Acute Change want you to be in control of what communications you receive from us and how your personal information is used. Please email us at [email protected] if you wish to obtain or provide the following information:

  • If you wish to inform us of any changes to your information or wish to correct the information we hold about you
  • Have any queries about the information that we hold about you.
  • Have any requests with regard to our processing of your personal data.
  • Wish to access information held about you.
  • Do not wish us to hold your information, you are entitled to tell us at any time and we will remove all such information as specified by you from our database in accordance with GDPR Regulation.

Retaining your Data

We will hold your data with a view to providing future services to you. The length of time we will hold or store your personal information for will depend on the services we perform for you and for how long you require these.  As we often support candidates with placements over many years, and potentially throughout their careers, the purpose for which we retain candidate data is often an ongoing purpose.  We conduct regular data-cleansing and updating exercises with our candidates to ensure that (a) the data that we hold is accurate and (b) we are not holding data for too long. In the event that you no longer require our services or wish to be removed from the database then please email [email protected] and we will remove all such information from our database as per our ‘Access to your Personal Information’ section.

Acute Change Security Procedures

Acute Change have appropriate organisational security procedures in place to ensure the security of your information and to protect it against deliberate or accidental manipulation, destruction, loss, theft or unauthorised access.  

Changes to our Privacy Policy

This privacy policy can be changed by Acute Change at any time. If we change our privacy policy in the future, we will advise you of material changes or updates to our privacy policy by email, where you have provided us with your email address.
